General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is normal to have delay in periods for 3-4 days. If it's more than a week to 10 days, it might be due to - pregnancy if you had unprotected sex:
- Stress
- Changes in weight (low birth weight or obesity)
- PCOS etc.

I advise you to:
- Wait for a week and then repeat a HPT or for accurate results do serum beta HCG test
- Keep yourself stress free and DO YOGA
- Take nutritious diet
- Take iron and calcium supplements

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
