General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. 11th day of menses cycle can be considered as a fertile day.( Normally ovulation day is on 14th day in 28 day cycle. & sperms can survive for 3 days maximum & can cause fertilization of ovum on 13th - 14th day. * Nordette is a combined oral contraceptive ,taken cyclically for contraception. If you have taken Nordette in higher dose as an emergency contraceptive ( 4 pills after sex & 4 pills again after 12 hours)- It will prevent pregnancy. & periods would follow, though the cycle will be disturbed. But if you have taken inadequate dose , you need to exclude pregnancy by pregnancy test.Positive test demands MTP to avoid fetal abnormality. Thanks.
