What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?

Hello I have a few questions. My last period was June 22,2016 I haven t had 1 since my boobs are sore like my cycle will come on soon but have been sore for a while. I have had like an watery discharge HEAVY like soaking my panties and nearly coming threw my pants. I have took am home pregnancy test but tested negative. Is there an possibility that I m pregnant??

Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone. This hormone is normally detectable by day 11 to 14 after conception.

If the test was done after this time then it is likely accurate, if it was done before this time then it should be repeated.

Other causes of delayed periods are: (1) emotional stress or illness
(2)side effect of medication
(3)thyroid disease
(4)physical illness
(5)high levels of a hormone called prolactin
(6)polycystic ovarian syndrome
(7)high levels of physical activity

If the pregnancy test is truly negative then you should see your doctor for assessment which would include physical examination and blood tests.

Imaging , such as ultrasound, may also be needed as well
