Hi Doctor. I m 27 yrs old and trying to conceive for almost an year. In August 2013 I got a surgery done for ectopic pregnancy. After that we gave 3 months break and started trying again to conceive. I ve undergone follicle study in the last month and doctor suggested me to use duphaston for 10 days. Today is the tenth day of my medication. My period is regular and is due for 28th but I didn t get my period till now.
How many days you are late with your periods? If more than 5-6 days then you should go for your Gravindex test. If in case it’s positive then many congratulations, but if it’s negative then have patience, wait for more 2-3 days then go for a USG pelvis, if the study comes normal then you need to check whether it’s because of hormonal imbalance. In many cases, it may be due to exertion, stress, workload etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
