What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Regestrone?

Hi.. Am having irregular period problem after marriage. This is one I did not get my period last 2 months but am not pregnant. Doctor recommended regestrone 5mg . I had contiously 4 days twise a day.. 4days over still I didn t got my period.. Shall I take tablets again for 5 days

It can be taken for a few more days but this should be discussed with your doctor.

After your period comes, you may also want to consider investigations to determine the cause of your irregular period.

Investigations would include hormonal blood tests and imaging such as ultrasound.

Causes of irregular period include: (a) emotional stress or illness
(b)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(c)physical illness
(d)abnormal levels of prolactin hormone
(e)polycystic ovarian syndrome
(f)inadequate diet
(g)excess physical activity
