What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

I usually have a normal period every months and it usually come right on time or a day or 2 late. It s almost been a week and I still have not gotten my period yet. I took 4 pregnancy tests and they all say negative, and the day after I should have gotten my period I got a yeast infection and I took a pill to treat if the next day. Why do I not have my period yet?

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Most common cause of delayed period is pregnancy if you had unprotected sexual intercourse in unsafe period of your cycle. Repeat the UPT after 4 days to confirm the pregnancy. Or better to go for blood HCG or USG (more accurate than UPT)
Other cause of delayed period: Excessive stress, change in dietary habit, excessive weight gain/loss, thyroid problem, hormonal imbalance, ovarian dysfunction.
Consult the gynecologist if period will not come and get the following investigations done: full hormone profile, ovarian follicle study,USG.
Meanwhile take following advice: healthy diet, avoid stress, do regular stretching and relaxation 45 minutes in morning, eat fruits like papaya, orange and pineapple
