What Causes Darkening At Corners Of Mouth?

Hi,
Both ends of my mouth have been dark for the last week now, and this has never happened before. When I don't smile, it looks like someone blotted brown spots onto my face. I'm twenty-three years old, 5'4" and weigh 130 pounds. And I don't have any serious medical conditions.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that probably you may be having angular chelitis which might result in darkening of the face skin near angle of mouth. You consult dermatologis for firm diagnosis. Investigations may be done to find out other pathology. Anaemia,DM,HIV, vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiencies, other internal diseases, riboflavin deficiency..etc may be ruled out. If any thing is detected, then proper treatment may be taken under observation of dermatologist. Apply vitamin E cream on the affected part of the face. You may be improved after few weeks.

Thanks.
