Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

D and C may be followed by bleeding and pelvic discomfort, however, these symptoms do not last long. Prolonged periods and dark brown colored brown colored vaginal discharge can be due to hormonal imbalance. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
