What Causes Dark Brown Discharge In 12 Year Old?
My 12 year old daughter has not had her period yet and has noticed white discharge in her underwear for months, we have tried all of the over the counter treatments - nothing works. Today we noticed she had brown dark discharge in her underwear. Is this a before period thing or should I be nervous, and take her to the doctor?

It can be a beginning of periods. If she has symptoms like pain or itching, get a vaginal swab done to rule out conditions like infections, like thrush or bacterial vaginosis.
