What Causes Coughing Up Of Fleshy Tissue Like Blob?

My sister-in-law coughed up this fleshy tissue like blob that looks like it has a branch or some sort maybe to connect it to something, Im not exactly sure though. I know she has been somewhat sick with the allergies from an early Spring and I am wondering if cigarettes might be the cause of this?

Hi...

Welcome to healthcare magic.

As you mentioned you have problem of coughing with some tissue like that may be because of lung related problem or other reasons..

There is history of smoking also there so lung related problem may be there...
Chest X ray helpful to rule out lung related lesion ..
Detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems..
Consult a pulmonologist for further diagnosis.
Start a treatment as per reason behind it..

I hope this will help you.
