What Causes Cough, Sickness, Swollen Throat, Breathlessness With Syncope?

Hi, my dad is really sick. He has has a cough, swollen throat and gasps for air while coughing. It is so bad that he has now blacked out a couple of times. The Doc said it isn t pneumonia and they have him on some meds but it s not working. What could it be?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your father, if this is pneumonia then it may take more time to come around even after the total recovery cough could remain there for some time but this is nothing to worry and this may not need any treatment, at the most steam inhalation, and pure honey can be tried (If not diabetic) take care.
