Pediatrician 's  Response
Most of the cases of recurrent cough in children are due to viral cause. Your doctor has given Akurit Kid which is an antitubercular medication and therefore he suspects the child to be suffering from tuberculosis. I would strongly suggest that you first get the disease confirmed by tests like sputum analysis or even TB quantiferon gold test before administering such medicines. Since you have already started the medication, I would insist that you continue the medicines for the time being while you get the diagnosis confirmed.
