General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be that you have been infected with another virus that is causing bronchitis.

It may also be that you have a certain kind of pneumonia called a "walking pneumonia", so if you have been having these respiratory difficulties for this long, I would suggest seeing a doctor get a chest X-ray to make sure there are no signs of pneumonia or other causes of this prolonged cough.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
