What Causes Constipation And Severe Abdominal Pain?

Chronic Reoccurring Symptoms There have been two long term reoccurring symptoms that have been around for more than ten years. Kidney Pain For three years around 1996, I had a series of Kidney infections ( about 10). These were treated with anti-biotic which eventually caused an allergic reaction and I had to find an alternate herbal remedy. The herbal remedy was very effective and eventually cured the problem. So I am well aware of the difference due to muscular pain and a kidney infection, which in my case was often associated by chemically induced anxiety (adrenal gland malfunction) that was cured by anti-biotic. In the past few months, Kidney pain has returned. Recently this has been initiated through reactions to pain-killers taken for toothache and lasted weeks instead of days. (The herbal remedy is no longer available) 2) Left Groin Pain Around 2006 / 7 I developed pain in my RHS Groin area. This seemed to be caused by sexual activity. This pain came and went over many years and again when it became bad was temporarily cured by anti-biotic. I suspect that this may be some form of aneurism as my father suffered from that problem. Recent Acute Illness I recently went on holiday to Thailand for two weeks and had the following problems. I developed severe abdominal pains on the outgoing flight, including left groin pain In the first week I developed constipation that responded to laxatives In the second week I developed severe abdominal pains and kidney pain, the most severe area of pain was my appendix area The abdominal pain increased and was so severe that I did not sleep for two days. I could not lie down too long and walked about to try and ease the pain. At this point I called a doctor. The doctor said that he thought it might be a kidney stone. He wrote the cause as gastroenteritis and gave me antibiotic Norfloxacic. He also gave me , Buscopan for Abdominal pain and Molax-M He gave me an injection for immediate relief and this dulled the pain but did not make it go away. He told me that if the pain did not respond to the anti-biotic after 24 hrs to call the doctor again After 24hrs the pain was considerably less and after another day it had diminished to the point where I could get out of bed and walk around. Although diagnosed with Gastroenteritis, I did not vomit or go to the toilet. My bowel movements did not become normal until the 5 day course of antibiotic was completed. I was prone during this illness to belching but was unable to pass wind. I felt unwell for the next two weeks and at work on 5th December started belching and getting Kidney pain again. I called 111 and after answering their questions they dispatched some paramedics to my place of work. At the hospital they gave me a second ECG and checked my urine, but did not do a kidney scan or x-ray.
