Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My feet have been swelling every day by the time I get home from work or wherever I go during the weekend lately and I don t know why. I have not been standing or sitting any more than usual at work or home. I have an artery disease called fibromuscular dysplasia and have been also experience alot of vericose veins in the thighs and ankles in the past year. My only know blockage is in the renal artery on my right side and I see someone annually for that. I guess my main question is should I see my physician if the swelling continues ro just ask about it at my next checkup in November?

What Causes Constant Swelling Of The Feet?
Hello, Feet swelling can be related to many medical conditions. One of the possible conditions can be varicose veins. I suggest doing an ultrasound of the feet to exclude the possibility of a blood clot in the vein. I also suggest checking the kidney function. Meanwhile, I suggest using a diuretic to relieve the feet swelling. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
