What Causes Constant Pain Below The Rib Cage On The Left Side?

my husband is having constant pain in his left side, bottom of rib cage,. It had been spasiming, but now has subsided. History of diverticolous . 15 min ago pain level was 6-8., now laying down it s 4-5. Do we have to go to the hospital, or should we contact our doctor in the am?

Thanks for your question.
I do understand your pain and discomfort.
As per your history is concerned please follow:-
1) Take [OMIDOM] one tablets along with [ANASPAS tab] If pain is due to GI tract it will stop
2)Take a full course of antibiotics (AB-CEF 200 mg twice a day for 10 days along wih flagyl -500mg two times per day
3)In the morning Do an Ultrasound whole abdomen & Chest X-ray
4)Check stool/Urine[RE/ME]
