Hi,

You are probably having what is called bruxism. This is when we clench our teeth at night and this may cause serious damage to the teeth and also pains in the jaw.

It is important that you see your dentist. There are plastic prosthesis that can be used only at night and helps keep a distance between the upper and lower jaw and protecting from grinding your teeth and protecting your jaw muscles as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
