Hi I have read your query. As you have mentioned your daughter has been suffering from constant fever for the last two weeks with high WBC and Platelet counts.
Children are very sensitive patients and doctors need to be extremely cautious in treating little angels. There may be several causes for constant fever at this age including periodic fever syndromes, recurrent infection, immunodeficiency syndromes, or autoimmune diseases.
It is very common for children to get fevers, and frequent illnesses in their early years, so it can be very hard to distinguish between a periodic fever syndrome, and a normal viral illness at first.
Higher WBC count shows infection may be the major factor in your child. An appropriate antibiotic medication prescribed by your doctor after doing the culture and sensitivity testing is needed.
