Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I constantly feel like there is a glob of snot or mucus stuck in the back of my throat. I noticed this around December and it is constant. It is constantly a bother because I love to sing and it obviously does not help, besides that it is quite irritating to have that feeling 24/7. I have tried clearing my throat and it never works. It s right up in my throat where it goes up my nose. I am not (as far as I know) sick. My nose is not runny or stuffed up, and I have no cough. Do you know anything this could be and anyways I could get rid of it. Please, and Thank You.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be from posterior nasal discharge which can be from allergic reactions. The irritation can be from gastric reflux also. An examination with ENT specialist should be done to rule out this. In case of reflux Proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole will be helpful. In case of allergic cause antihistamines like ebastine will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
