What Causes Constant Fatigue?

My husband gets extremely fatigued. He sleeps about 6-8 hrs a day and about 7 hrs a night. After eating a meal he needs to lay down and usually sleeps about an hour. He is under care of a cardiologist, CAD and 4 stints. Had a check up inNov and all blood work was normal, everything ok. What could be the issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Feeling sleepy after meals might be related to many health problems starting with:
-Diet high in carbohydrates, overeating
-Iron deficiency anemia
-Thyroid hypofunction
-Celiac disease

He should consult a doctor for a physical examination, and some laboratory studies (complete blood count), thyroid function test.
He should eat frequently, small meals, and food high in fibers(fruits, vegetables, grains).Avoid fast - foods , processed foods.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suela Gjata,
