Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing constant burping since Monday. The only time I do not burp is when I am sleep. I also have mucus in the back of my throat all day long and when I swallow it, it is very uncomfortable. It's like I feel it moving down my esophagus. I am also very bloated all day long I can not even button my pants. What should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constant burping and bloating which seems to be due to inflammatory bowel disease and gastrosophageal reflux disease.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Take diet rich in protein.
- You should take easily digestive food and avoid carbohydrates or fatty foods.
- For now eat light, avoid non spicy and heavy food.
- Take plenty of fluids in diet.
- Avoid intake of large meals at a time and take small and frequent meals.
If symptoms keeps on persisting, consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test and endoscopy and can rule out proper diagnosis and can start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
