What Causes Constant Abdominal Cramps While Going Through Menopause?

I am currently 46 years old and have had ongoing cramps for over a year 24/7. I am going through Menapause and taking medicine for this, and had a hysteroSCOPY (ablasion) done over a year ago to stop the menstrual bleeding, which it did do as I continuiously bled for a few weeks prior to the hysteroscopy. The one sympton that continues is lower cramping (sometimes much worse than others) but it never really goes away and affects me daily. I ve spoken with my Gynocologist and Primary Physician as well as had a CT scan done (do not have results yet) but curious what could be causing constant cramping

Hello,

Abdominal cramps can be related to many different medical conditions.

Endometriosis or uterine fibroids can be the cause.

They can also be a symptom of a stomach virus or food poisoning.

Most of the time, cramps are nothing serious.

I recommend doing an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I recommend using Buscopen for the pain and cramps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
