My husband is 30 yrs old he went to the hospital for bronchitis then 2 weeks after he was admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure, they did an echo cardiogram and show his heart was at 30-35% two months later he gets another echo cardiogram and this time shows his heart is at 25-20% but my husband feels better than before he got sick he lost a lot of weight and hasnt gain any back been eating better no sodium, no sugar, no caffeine and no fry food. So my question is..is hes heart going to continue getting weaker and weaker? Why did his heart got worse if he is feeling better now than he was 5 months a go? What does all this means? Answers please
As per my clinical experience, the progressive heart failure can be due to forward or backward failure affecting the filling or emptying of the heart from various reasons.
Multiple co relations are required for the precise evaluation of the condition from clinical perspective, heart sounds, murmur, rhythm and corresponding data from the echo as well as angiography reports.
Kindly provide me all details of the relevant investigations for better guidelines ahead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
