What Causes Cold And Cough While Suffering From Asthma?
Hello Doctor! I have a 5 years old child who is asthmatic, she is very sensitive easily got cold and cough. But as of now, I have a problem because she is urinating with a blood. She already have the urinalysis and it shows as: RBC - TNTC, she have been ultrasound but it indicates that her kidney and urinary bladder are normal. I am so worried because she is still urinating with a blood. Please help me I am quite confused of what is the cause of this. Thank you and God bless!
Hello, I understand your concerns, bacterial (strep) and viral infections are very common among children. Having asthma is a sign that higher care must be provided as the child already has respiratory difficulties. RBC TNTC means the red blood cells are too numerous to count. This can either be a urinary tract infection which most of the time can resolve on its own or with simple antibiotics. I would advise you to continue the current medications provided by your PCP and go for a reevaluation if her symptoms persists more than a week or there are signs of worsening symptoms such as burning pain during urination, decreased urinary output, prolonged fever etc.
