What Causes Cold Along With Sore Throat And Burping?

HELP! I have a typical cold with, sore scratchy throat, and runny/stuffy nose. But for some strange reason, I ve been constantly burping! But not like a typical burp, but like a bunch of air bubbles keep coming up from my stomach. Also I have a lot of gas... is this normal?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood the history.
This is not normal to have bubble of gas coming up as burps.
It looks that you have GERD giving you the symptoms of sore throat.
I would advise you the following:
Zantac 12 hourly.
Pepcid every 3 to 4 hours when on empty stomach.
Add Domperidone or such motility regulators.
Soft bland diet.
No aerated colas / soda/ drinks.
Early dinner. No late nights.
Treatment for anxiety (as prescribed / needs a prescription by your Doctor)
Lying in a reclining position
Walk around after dinner.
Think of the factors which increased the present problem, GERD, anxiety and try to avoid.
If no relief, get Upper GI endoscopy done and get prescription for added Medicines.
