What Causes Chronic Pain In Lower Back, Buttocks And Leg?

I woke up at 3am with severe low back, right buttocks and right leg pain. I was unable to get up. Also, I have a softball sized area of what looks like petechiae right where the pain in my back originates, but I had no injury preceding the bruising and pain. Also the bottom of both feet feel numb and tingly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you are possibly suffering from a lumbar spine issue. Possibly something to do with your spine such a herniated disc or spondyloarthritis.

I can suggest you do an x-ray of the lumbar spine. Taking anti-inflammatory drugs such as Advil or Naproxen can help you with pain. Also, you can do physical therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
