What Causes Chronic Headache Along With Tightness In The Chest?
I was dismissed from the hospital yesterday with pneumonia. Although I have a list of things to watch for, I ve had a constant headache and tightness in my chest. My pneumonia has been atypical...not a alot of coughing or wheezing, and they have said my lungs sound ok. However, from time to time I do have a shortness of breath which i try to breath slowly through my nose. Is this normal?
The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as a first line management, you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
