What Causes Chronic Diarrhea And Vomiting?

Husband has severe diarrhea for 2+ plus days after severe constipation. Vomited, very weak, blood in diarrhea, goes often with very little control of bowels. Was on clear liquids, now pot soup. Still passing watery blood each time he goes to bathroom.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear,

From what I have read it sounds like a bacterial bowel infection, causing the blood-watery diarrhea. But the fact that your husband has been alternating between constipation and diarrhea, the last being bloody diarrhea, is a red sign for colon cancer.
This is why I recommend you to see your doctor as soon as possible.
He will order a sygmoidoscopy or colonoscopy, and assess the risk of cancer.
Please do this as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Manoku Eni M.D.
