Hello and thank you for using healthcaremagic.

I understand your concern, and from your description it seems that your coughing problem are occurring now most probably because of the winter season. In winter season most of the respiratory illness occur, and in your case you already have Tuberculosis. Temperature dropping in the night often lead to breathing problems.

It would be helpful if you keep your room warm. With my personal experience of respiratory problems in the family and patients, I have seen simply sitting up and take steam inhalation at the time of cough greatly improves coughing. Try sleeping in a slightly propped up position.

Also a cough syrup will help. Most of them are available over the counter.

If after taking the above measures your cough persists for more than 3 days, it would be advisable to visit your physician.

I would also like to point out that you shouldn't stop the drugs for tuberculosis.

Hope the information was pertinent to your query.

Feel free to ask any further queries.
