Hi, I have had chronic constipation (hard pellet like poop), gas and blooding mixed with a few times of regular stool blood in the toilet water with red veiny things in the stool. Over the last three weeks, I saw the blood in my stool twice. I contacted my GI and she moved up Colonoscopy to next Tuesday (it was scheduled for late June). She told me to go to the ER for evaluation if I saw blood in my stool, which I did three days later after calling her and taking Duclox and a fibercon as recommended, but too scared to go to ER. I do have two small exposed hemorrhoids (possibly internal but never been examined for them before), which in all 10 years of having them, if they are the culprit for the blood, never gave me any trouble. Also, I was tested for parasites. The tests came back negative, but I ve been reading you can still have them. I use to each out alot as well as sushi. I may have lactose intolerance, family history of celiac (I tested negative), IBS and diverticulitis. Should I just wait until the colonoscopy next tuesday or go to er?
