What Causes Chest Pain Upon Coughing?

I have coronary heart desease and have had 2 heart attacks last one 3 years ago. I have 8 stents. I see cardiologist and primary dr on regular basis. My question is I ve experienced chest pains when I cough or breath in deeply. It started 2 hrs ago. No other symptoms at all. Pain comes when I cough or breath in deep and then goes away until I cough again. Pain is around my heart area to the right of my left nipple. I m 55 yr old male. Should I go to hospital?

Hi,

Yes, with such pain, you should go to the hospital. I suspect a possible heart event.

If you have Nitroglycerin prescribed by your doctor, put it under your tongue and go to ER immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
