General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my surgical experience, the intense pain on bending indicate muscle or ligament stretch with contusion giving more pain on movements. In our clinic, I recommend:
- Local application of ice and heating pad alternately every 4 to 6 hours.
- Local application of analgesic gel or spray.
- Anti-inflammatory and antibiotics medicines to resolve the issue fast.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
