What Causes Chest Pain, Shortness Of Breath And Back Pain?

I m having severe chest & back pain. I m sweating like crazy and having a hard time breathing. I went to the ER on Thursday and all they could find was a really tight muscle around my left shoulder blade. Is this normal with this kind of injury or should I go back to the ER

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chest pain can occur with problems in any area of the chest from the skin inwards- skin, muscles, bones, heart, lungs, esophagus. It can also be due to anxiety.

Any severe pain can be associated with hard time breathing.

The most common worry in persons with chest pain is heart disease but this is not usually associated with back pain.
The doctors in the ER may have done tests such as EKG, to take a look at the heart.

They have also done a chest x ray to take a look at the lungs.
These tests would have ruled out heart and lung disease.

If the pain continues with no relief from the medication prescribed, then you may need see your doctor for re assessment.

I hope this helps
