What Causes Chest Pain In Person With Heart Disease Post Cholecystectomy?

I am 40 yrs old. Last summer I had a heart attack after spending a large amount of time in a hot tub and taking phentermine. I assume that is what caused it. 9 days later I suffered a second heart attack. I was diagnosed with vasospasms. I am on several medications and recently had my gallbladder removed. I have chest pin daily, but not sure if it is from my heart or getting used to not having a gallbladder. Will this ever end????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome.

Mild chest pain can continue for a while, especially during the first few days after the heart attack. But many patients have reported mild chest pains from time to time, but say it is nothing they cannot handle.

Do not stress as it gets you nowhere and only makes things worse. Leading a normal life after a heart attack is possible, avoid stress, have a good and healthy lifestyle and exercise mildly everyday.

Best wishes.
