What Causes Chest Pain, Breathlessness, Dizziness And Fatigue When Diagnosed With Hiatal Hernia?

my brother is 56 years old and has been going threw test after test for a wide array of symptoms. all symptoms are like Lyme disease even though he tested negative. this has been going on for almost a year now. he has been rushed to er many times for chest pain and shortness of breath. the doctors in Delaware just don t know what is causing this. he has had so many test done, and nothing is getting resolved. dizziness, chest pain, fatigue, arms going numb, can only eat plain food, no salt, pepper, or spices.joint pain. was diagnosed with hiatal hernia recently.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to severe acid reflux.

As of now you can take antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
