What Causes Chest Pain Around The Breast And Dizziness?

I am experiencing chest pain around my left breast. (It almost feels like I pulled a muscle.) I also get dizzy/light-headed, when I bend over. (This has been happening awhile though.) I keep telling myself, it is allergies, because I am congested as well. I am 59, female, 128lbs, and in excellent health otherwise! (My HDL was 102 last month for example!) Should I go to the ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are 2 main symptoms in you that need immediate medical assistance:
- Congested for some time
- Chest pain on left side associated with feeling of passing out when bending

I suspect chostocondritis following congestion however should rule out possible pneumonia and other cardiovascular complications too. Therefore, yes, you should go to the ER.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
