What Causes Chest Pain And Wheezing Despite Taking Calpol And Ibuprofen?

Hi my daughter who is 4 years old has been complaining of pains in her chest and has been grunting, wheezing overnight, i have given calpol and ibruprofen alternatively for 24 hours and rubbed vicks on her chest and feet, she has woken this morning still complaining of chest pain, should i take her to hospital for a chest xray? Its Sunday and i live 2 mins away from a hospital with paediatric walk in facilities?

Ibuprofen and Calpol are anti-inflammatory and they reduce pain and fever but if there is some infection like chest infection in case of your child, then an antibiotic must be added but in this age group nothing can be prescribed without proper examination so I would advice you to take your baby to the hospital for proper management.
