Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Chest Pain And Numbness In The Left Arm?
I ve had chest pains for a week now on my left side it feels like a cramp/ pinching feeling which is constant, I ve also had numbness in my left arm and my chest pains started after my headaches. I went to the hospital a year ago they didn t do scans on my head for my headaches and sent me home I later got more headaches and a year later it s headaches and chest pain
Should rule out possible cardiovascular event. Your last visit to the hospital was one year ago, while the chest pain and numbness in left arm has started since one week now.
So, I highly recommend going to ER in order not to lose too much time.
Cardiac tests like EKG, echocardiogram and stress test should be run first. Then, should go for blood tests and neurological examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
