What Causes Chest Discomfort Even At Rest?

I am a 49 year old female and I have had intermitent discomfort on the right upper side of my chest for about a month now. It is localized and comes and goes with no visible reason. It happens when I am working or at rest. It feels kind of like a brain freeze, it starts light and then gets more intense and last sabot ten seconds per episode, then it subsides. I very frequently get many in a row but sometimes only a few per day. I am getting a little bit worried as I seem to have them more often. I am being treated with Crestor for high colesteral and I was put on bata blockers about five months ago for high blodd pressure. I am thinking that I should go and see my go.

I read your query and understand your concern
The localization when you suffered pain and its characteristics (no stimulus,happens even in rest) seems that the cause isn't heart
So you don't have to be worried too much
You should avoid sttonge physical stress as those may lead to fibromialgia which seems to be the cause of your pain
It is fully treatable so be calm
A combination of analgesics and local antinflamatory will help you and make the pain disappear
