What Causes Chest Constriction On Methadone?
i am 17 and have been taking methadrone for a few weeks now. i a few days ago had a 2 day binge were i took over 6g. this resulted in my chest going very tight and getting pins and needles down both arms. i have stopped taking the drug but i am concernd that the chest pains wont go away.

No, this is not related to methdone .Methadone is a synthetic opioid and has analgesic properties .So it provides relief in pain. You should consult with chest physician to rule out any infectious pathology considering the young age and drug abuse.

Hi,Its good that you brought up this question.
Using methadone is not good for health.It should be prescribed by a licensed practitioner for any medical indication.Because it has very high abuse potential.Methadone in high doses causes cardiac side effect in the form of QT prolongation.Which can present as chest pain.It does resolve once the drug has been stopped.
If you were to be my patient i would ask you to get ECG to rule out all the causes.And i would ask you to quit methadone use.If you are finding difficulty in quitting the drug,then you will need monitored rehabilitation from the drug.
