What Causes Burning Sensation When Urinating?

Hi. My baby is 8 weeks old, my bleeding has stopped 2 weeks ago. The past few days i started having a burning and itching sensation when i urinate and when i wipe the tissue is bloody. I wear a pad but its not bloody, so i guess its not my period. Please help me, what could i be? I thank you for your help! G. H.

Hello thanks a lot and hope the answer would help you,since you are having burning sensation(dysuria) and itching with urination and small amount of blood stained with urine as u guess the pad is devoid of blood stain.These symptoms are suggestive of urinary tract infection till proven otherwise if you are having fever kindly go for Urine analysis and culure as u be needing a course of antibiotic well suited to ur culture report and along with breast feeding.If no fever and symptoms mild conservative plan as plenty of water intake,good genital hygeine with copious water and small urinary tract antiseptic as effervesecent form can be tried with paracetamol,hope ur querry answered to some extent
