What Causes Burning Sensation In The Upper Abdomen?

I m trying to determine if the symptoms I m experiencing are heart burn - which I ve had a history of - or a heart attack. I have the usual burning sensation just below the chest, in the abdomen. But my arms are also tingly - especially in the area where it bends. Feet also a littletingly. No real pain in the chest and I can t really tell if there is a tightness or not. Heartbeat feels regular though I do feel an occasional flutter - like a little muscle spasm but can t tell if it s in the pectoral muscle or if it s the heartbeat. I am in San Diego with my two kids (19 and 16). They are asleep. My question is, if I call an ambulance - can they do an EKG here the hotel to determine if I need to go to the hospital? Or do they have to take me straight to ER?

Hi
thank you fir querry
according to symptoms its look like acid peptic disease, which cause burning sensation in the epigastic region it os associated with smoking, fatty and spicy food, overeating, sedentery life style late night eating and after eat lye down.
but in MI the symptoms are different like severe chest pain radiating towards neck and jaw and inner border of arm severe chest tightness, shortness of breath but in some female inferior wall MI has same presentaion as in epigastric pain you must rule out the cardiac cause.
hope the answer is given
