What Causes Burning Sensation In The Nostril After Using Afrin Nasal Spray?

I used Afrin nasal spray about 2 hours ago. There was instant burning in one nostril. Pain inhaling, pain behind my eye behind my ear and in the back if my head on the side if the pat nostril. How long will this last and is ther something I ca do to minimize the discomfor?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are suffering from an allergy to the above drug (Oxymetazoline). Stop taking the above drug, and use a saline nasal wash to clear the spray.

Use Paracetamol drug to control pain, still, if symptoms not improved, then please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
