What Causes Burning Sensation In The Hands And Face After Taking Trimethoprim?

I started taking another antibiotics wh nitro something and was allergic to it so they took me off it and gave me an antihistamine for the reaction to the tablet and then 3 hrs starting to take trimethoprim have only had two but I am not feeling good I have a Cold and shakes feeling can t get warm and burning feeling in hands and face don t want to ask again but my doctor knows I am very succept to loads of medicine what should I do .thankyou I also have a red dry tongue .

Hello,

I think you are allergic to Trimethoprim too.

I think you should stop taking it and take another antibiotic.

You can continue to take antihistamines and may have a prednisolone injection too.
