What Causes Burning Sensation In The Extremities And Abnormal Heart Beats?

was trying to sleep, then suddenly my extremities got real hot, my heart seemed to beat weird/less (however I may just not of felt all the beats), began taking deep breathes and it all went away in about 1min (note: I'm 35 male with Muscular Dystrophy), first time this happened. Not sure what's going on.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Dear which type of muscular dystrophy you have? It may be atrial fibrillation or arrhythmia may common in muscular dystrophy patients. Other possibilities like anxiety neurosis or respiratory muscles weakness or respiratory infection, etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get an ECG, echocardiogram, and serum electrolytes. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
