Relax. This burning sensation is not going to harm your baby. Due to hormone of pregnancy the tone of sphincter at the lower end if oesophagus is reduced. As a result the acid from stomach leaks up into oesophagus causing inflammation of its lining and the symptoms. For the remedy Take frequent light meals. Avoid hot drinks coffee and fatty foods Dont lie down immediately after meals. Sleep in semi reclining position. Use liquid antacids If you are a smoker, stop smoking If you are drinking alcohol reduce its intake
If these steps are not helpful you need to see a gastroenterologist who may prescribe medications. You may be advised endoscopy to look for the possibility of stomach ulcer or hiatus hernia. If you have any further queries do contact me through healthcare magic.
