What Causes Burning Sensation In Chest Despite On Angina After A Stent Placement?
I am a 40 year old male that has a total occlusion of the LAD . And I have another artery that is 75% blocked.I have had stents place. However, I am experiencing an acidic/bitter taste in my mouth accompanied with burning inside my chest. I am on angina meds, bp meds, and blood thinners. What could be causing this?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation in chest despite on Angina after a stent placement which are pointing towards a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease which leads to release of oesophageal sphincter and causes excess acid production. You should take meal in small and frequent intervals. You should exercise on daily basis. Avoid large intake of meals at a time. You should exercise on daily basis. Keep bed little higher on head side. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order blood test , oral biopsy , saliva measurement and allergy test to confirm the diagnosis. For now avoid carbonated drinks , spicy food , alcohol and acidic foods. Take combination of antibiotic along with anti-inflammatory drugs. Also consult cardiologist and discuss the condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
