Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello...I am taking 100 mg. Losartan, 20 mg. Lasix ,10MEQ Potassium, 10 mg. Hydralazine in divided does am & pm, and ASA...I have been having severe burning in my chest area and it is hard to sleep some nights...can you diagnose any heart issues that are not being treated or could it be medicine related? I also do have heartburn sometimes and I take bicarb or tums but this seems different and more severe. Thank you YYYY@YYYY
Thank you for your question.I would suggest serum Na ,K,Bicarbonate levels and serum creatine, urea asessment. You may take pantop DSr 20mg BD on empty stomach daily. If burning goes it will be good, otherwise you may require cardiac assessment.Dose of medicines need monitoring after blood tests.Avoid heavy meals in one go and try small light diets frequently, devoid of spices and fats.It may be due to acid reflux or hyperacidity. Take ASA after meals and never on empty stomack. Ask your doctor, if it is75mg or 150 mg it is okay if higher doses, then go for re-assessment
