What Causes Burning Sensation During Urination Post IUD Insertion?

Hi, got an IUD in June and have been sexually active since early August. Recently within the last three weeks, I have felt very dry and it did feel itchy but not anymore. The last time I had sex it was painful and it has never been that way before. Started my period again the next day after sex and now it burns when I pee and I had lots of clear discharge today. Your thoughts?

I understand your concern.
You had no symptoms for few months after IUD insertion. it started after sex.. that too after few days of indulgence in sex.This indicates infection in either of you / sex partner.
Please understand, it's not IUD induced problem.Infection can occur with or without IUD.. in case of
- Carelessness about genital / sexual hygiene
- Having sex with infected person.
You had symptoms of itching, pain, burning in urination , vaginal discharge, early menses after sex.. everything goes in favor of vaginal/ pelvic inflammation.
* You should consult a gynecologist/ get examined, investigated ( urine test/ vaginal swab test & get specific treatment as advised. Mostly treatment would be given to both sex partners.
_ Maintenance of genital hygiene by both sex partners,would help to prevent recurrence.
