my husband who is 65 , 6 4 220 lbs and in really good shape has been having burning feet top and bottom, red and swollen, painful, for about 6 months, he has gone thru several tests, nerve conduction, vascular lower arterial test and is getting ready to go to a Neurologist, so far the thinking from his docs are pinched nerves in the lower back, what do u think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
You have already undergone nerve conduction / vascular tests for the painful burning & swollen feet.
In my view it can be Misfitting shoes/ vitamin B12 deficiency /nerve pinching at spinal ( lumber vertebrae) or local ( tarsal tunnel syndrome ) Or Diabetic Peripheral neuropathy .
Thanks
